Hi, I’m Kail, your Somatic Coach. If you are reading this, you are probably curious about why I become a somatic coach and helping people feel easeful when going after their dreams.
My background
My healing journey begins in 2017 when I was diagnosed with bipolar depression. After my dear friends invite me to a Ayahuasca ceremony where I face most of the fear I had in life that night, I come out with most of my depressive symptoms gone. However, I had developed various nervous system problem since then, including chronic pain, panic attack, seizures and more.
The symptoms once paralyzed me, making me think that I might never be able to work again. Yet, there is a hope within me that I would find cure eventually. And I was determined to heal myself even though most doctors find impossible to do so back then.
How I heal myself from trauma and use my experience to help other people?
Through my healing journey, I’ve come to understand the process of healing through exposing to different treatment and learning different types of somatic practice, such as Feldenkrais, somatic psychology, Whole Body Focusing and Somatic Experiencing (SE).
To heal from trauma, one must understand both the physiological and psychological element of the it and transform from within.
I would say the reason why I was heal from my depression and the trauma imprints on my nervous system is because I’ve transform into a different person in my life.
First, I’ve embodied different types of trauma through somatic practice to
- digest the flight-or-fight response from trauma
- build somatic awareness so that I feel strong & confident in my body
Secondly, cultivating a healthy lifestyle is also important in the journey of recovery. For example, to heal from TMJ dissociation problem, not only have I received nervous system integration from my therapist, I’ve also work out, manage my stress and eat healthily to so that my body become stronger then before.
Most importantly, taking small steps day by day is the most important gift you can give for yourself to transcend your fears and live a fullest life. When I learn how to take care of my body in different aspect, I have more energies available to help other people, and slowly doing the things I wanted, traveling the world, performing on stage, one thing at a time.
Looking back 7 years later, my career has take me from an artist to a somatic coach in Hong Kong, teaching people around the world how to take care of their bodies while going for their dreams gives me the greatest joy.

I love how coaching gives people the freedom to explore what the issue they concern about and explore how different emotions and energies act within the body. By transforming the negative experience and find the resources around us. We can move through challenges with more ease and joyfulness.
